astrological institute in dharamsala

i am in mcleod ganj now and i went today to the tibetan astrological institute to have a reading done, expecting to pay maybe 500 rupees and wait a few days. i was amazed to find though that it costs $50 and you have to wait 10 to 12 months (because they have a long long waiting list). i decided that there would be no point doing it as i only went out of idle curiosity in the first place. my question is, has anyone ever had a reading done from them, and was it such an amazing thing that it was worth paying 50 bucks and waiting a year for?

Sounds like a rip off that targets foreign tourists. No sane Indian would pay that much and wait that long.. Most genuine astrologers will give you a reading and let you pay them "whatever you want" .
