Just back from Kinnaur. The apple blossom season is over - you see small green apples in the trees at this moment. The apple blossom is normally in the month of April - I believe.

Dear Mr.Dutta,
I saw that you had stayed at hotel Prakash in Sangla in June, 2010 how would you rate the hotel?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Please suggest some tranquil places near narkandA. And some budget accomodation options, may be some good homestay. Is there anything available in kumarsain, thanedhar etc.

Not much idea about home stays, but you could go to Kotagarh where you can expect a good place to stay. Something must be available on online sites like airbnb at kotagarh, thanedhar etc as all these places see high tourist inflows.

Today morning i could see many flowers upto shimla. But after shimla, no flower...i could only see the dry apple trees.
But the places were snow covered. Narkanda received good snowfall today.

April is good. However it depends on the location. I have seen apple and peach in full bloom in 2013 Holi in Parvati Valley and Kullu. While next year i drove to Narkanda and Chail and saw the blossoms too in April. Go down from Narkanda and there are apple gardens where the blossoms are beautiful.

Towards kotgarh and kumarsain you mean? Today narkanda received lots of snow, lets see if i could get any vehicle towards kumarsain and the route remains accessible.
Today morning no bus came to narkanda. Later i took a celerio cab (2000 rupees). near kufri, the road was covered with hard ice, and traffic jam due to some vehicles skided and blocked vehicle movement. Narkanda hotel was not accesible by car, so i had to walk a little. I didnot expect this much snow (delhi/gurgaon was very hot upto 8th.) , my sportshoe was not adequate for this snow.

I was little disappointed since i couldnt see any single flower/cherry blossom. But the snowfall made it up. I have never seen such a snowfall. And it's a full moon night, clouds have cleared now. Hope to see a moonlit snow covered pine forest and the hill slopes. Splendid beauty....

That is bad, but at least you were there for the good snowfall of the season . Apple flowers late but I was sure you would be able to witness cherry blossom, seems I was wrong.

Peach is in full bloom so if you get a chance to visit peach farm, do visit them, the pink spread is beautiful.
