Advice on Trip to Kinnaur and Back through Jubbal in July

Hi - my wife and I are planning a road trip to Sangla Valley (from Delhi) in the 1st week of July as per the following plan in our Hyundai SANTRO.

Delhi-Fagu -
Fagu-Sarhaan
Sarhaan - Chitkul
Chitkul - Kalpa
Kalpa - Nako (Day Trip and back)

My question to Kinnaur lovers and experts are as below:

1. Will Santro be able to take this drive? Any specific precautions we need to bear in mind? What about safety?

2. We plan to stay 5 full days in Chitkul (3 Days) - Kalpa (2 Days) - is that enough? I'd rather spend a relaxed week and do close by hikes, etc. What are places that I should not miss in this area?

3. On my return trip I plan to cut through Nogli (near Rampur) to Rohru - Hatkoti - Jubbal - Khara Pathhar - Ambala - Delhi instead of the regular - Shimla route. Has anyone in the Forums done this route? What are the road conditions?

Schedule is pretty tight. Just touch and go for most places. Santro is a forward wheel drive, i.e. no differential; so won't be a problem on uneven roads - of which there will be plenty on the route you have mentioned.Kalpa-Nako-Kalpa will be like the Raid de Himalaya. Also what route do you have in mind after Khara Pathar in the Jubbal-Khara Pathar- Ambala ?
The route to Ambala from Khara Pathar is via Shimla, Chandigarh.
The other route route to Delhi from Khara Pathar is: Khara Pathar - Hatkoti - Tuini - Chakrata - Mussorie - Dehra Dun - Delhi.

Right now there is road widening work going on between Kharapatthar to Chaila. Road condition is very bad. Also the road from Tuini onwards is again very bad.
