Advice for travel/trekking in April/May
I'm in South India at the moment, but am planning to travel up north in April, May. I really want to do some trekking in Himachal Pradesh, but I've had a quick squizz through some guides and am wondering how realistic it is at this time of year.
I'm not a hardcore mountaineer, so am looking for shortish 2-5 day treks through decent terrain (ie not wanting to use crampons and ropes and oxygen tanks!) * Are there some areas that are better than others? * Will most of the passes still be too cold/snowy for trekking? * Any particular treks/companies that you can recommend? Any thoughts / advice welcome.... Judith |
