7 days programme in himachal.. pls help.

hi,

i,my wife and 3.5 yr son would plan to go to himachal for 7 days..from delhi..on coming sept-oct.

i am confused to shedule the trip for 7 days.. actually my plan is,

day1: delhi to manali.

day2: manali(local visit,hadimba temple,manu temple,vashist village,tibetian monastery etc.)

day3: manali(rohtang pass , snowpoint,solang valley,gulaba,kothi)

day4: manali(kullu manikaran etc)

day5: manali to shimla travel..

day6: shimla, kufri,the mall etc.

day7: local visit and finaly to delhi..

my question is,

do i need to change the shecdule?

is my plan is good enough? or i will need to extend the days in manali instead of shimla??

do i need to visit shimla also?

my favourite is visitng snowy fields, playing with my 4 yr son in snow fields..

does it(snow fields) possible in september - october at rohtang pass?.

pls help

hi, ur plan is quite perfect, may b little hectic since lots of travelling everyday, but it absolutely depends on you. but not too much hectic thats for sure. certainly u can make it.
now for ur programme schedule if u take bus/car from shimla on the night of ur 7th day u can easily reach early morning delhi next day, or u can take car or bus(check the bus time) in the afternoon u can reach delhi by midnight of ur 7th day.
as far as snow is concerned in rohtang i went there in late october some 8 years back i found just a small area covering with snow and everybody pushing everyone to feel that little snow, but jorney from manali to rohtang is quite a good and if possible take a horseride after u get down at rohtang to reach the top the of the mountain(though 30mins distance only) where u will get that little snow.
and it depends on u whether u like to spend more in shimla or manali.

hi subabu,
as already mentioned in another post cut out shimla - Manali is far better!! also avoid Kullu & Manikaran!

& if ur keen on catching lots of snow then postpone ur trip to avoid disappointment!
cheers!
