6 days to somewhere in Himachal
i am planning to take 3 weeks off and go for holidays to somewhere in HP, i have manali on my mind all though but would be great if someone can recommend me other places.
also it would be great if someone could suggest me options for travel and lodging. * From delhi to manali (bus/air) * Hotels where i can stay, clean, reasonably priced and safe. cheers - Rajat |

I would suggest bus. As far as i found out in IM, everyone will suggest bus, esp., Volvo semi sleeper A/C bus.
http://www.himachalhotels.in/bus_booking.asp you can get some idea about the price and availability of hptdc hotels in this link. http://hptdc.nic.in/hotel.htm

Hire a jeep from Manali taxistand and visit picteresque places like Lahaul, then Spiti, from Spiti enter Kinnaur, and then return to SHimla and then back to Delhi. It will be a memorable tour.

Best places in HP is :-
Dharamshala Manali Shimla Kullu It can be great if you can cross from manali to Leh by bus. Also it is worth to see Amritsar Golden Temple. You should not miss to see this great place, not far from here. About lodging there are lot of small hotels so you can choose according your budget. Lot of buses are going everyday from Delhi for each destination directly. Wish you all the best. |
