Yellow Fever Jabs

I am pretty sure that you do not need Yellow Fever jabs if travelling from the UK to India (not visited a Yellow fever country ever). However the nurse at the doctors reckons you do need yellow fever jabs (she wants £38 for them). I have checked the Department of Health web site and therer are no urgent updates or anything that suggest that you need Yellow Fever jabs for India. I know if you travel from a Yellow Fever country then you do need to have them and show a certificate to prove this.

Anyone got the definitive answer.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that answer. I have done a google before I posted and after cros checking a few sites I came to a similar conclusion as yourself. Do not know what the nurse is going on a bout unless she thinks India is in Africa.
