Yasmin (brand of the Pill) - available in India?

Just wondering if anyone is aware of whether the brand of oral contraceptive Yasmin (www.yasmin.com) is available in India. It's made by Schering/Berlex I believe.

The actual drug makeup of Yasmin is a combination of estrogen (specifically, ethinyl estradiol) + a form of progestin called drosperinone.

I have a prescription, just wondering if this specific brand is sold in the country at all? It's a newer pill, and has only been available for maybe 5 years or so in the States.

I don't think Yasmin is available -- I was told this by my doctor, which sucks because Yasmin is so good. Anyway, I switched to Levlen --which is made by the same company-- and I had no trouble getting it at a pharmacy in Connaught Place. I hope this helps.

I am going prepared and have 6 months worth of Yasmin to take out with me.

Shame it isn't available though as it's a fantastic pill
