What does it say about me, that I had completely forgotten that little incident until a friend mentioned it a couple of years ago.

The early 90s are all a bit of a blur to me.

It most certainly wasn't in a welsh club. We're decent folk in Wales. It was in the Big City.

Coincidentally, I've just been watching a gardening programme on TV, on which one of the questions raised was "Should you 'pee-pee' in your compost bin?".

The answer was that it does the garden good but doesn't smell very nice.

They are partly right, it does act as an accelerant to compost, but an aerated and well balanced compost heap will not smell, even if you "add" to it in this way.

I feel that I should point out that despite my posts about this, I'm really not an expert on the yellow stuff! But I do know how to make fantastic compost!

It all looked too complicated to me... but it was the bit where he rummaged through it and picked out the different types of worm that really put me off ever having one in my garden.

So that's where the she-wee (TM) comes in handy...

Nah, in fact it was about testing out some unspecified magic cure to it I believe, and contracting it first to check said results. I'm not sure, I lost the point some time ago I'm afraid.

Didn't you know? The worms are the best bit!

It's great that you'll happily piss on complete strangers, but are squeamish about having worms in your garden.

Seriously, compost heaps mostly go wrong when they're only grass clippings, or only woody bits, or only paper. If you put a mix of veg matter on a compost heap, don't let it dry out completely and don't add cooked leftovers, it will look after itself. Plus you won't have to change out of your muddy boots to come back into the house when nature calls.

Um... This has gone a bit off topic really, hasn't it? Worse place to get malaria, next to a pool which has lots of fish.

I can honestly say that I believe the idea is being treated with precisely the measure of respect that it deserves.

Catching malaria to test a homemade cure? Well I'm sure your medical insurance company will be thrilled to pay out for treatment of that. Save the cost of a trip to India and phone up a lab supply company for the appropriate culture.

practically guaranteed
I would suggest that you look at having some alternative (mainstream Western medication) as a backup procedure). Practically doesn't do it for me - sounds like homeopathy.

This sounds like something from "The Dice Man - Luke Rheinhart".

you might find that there is no such thing as aids
aids is a hoax
I gave you a lot of benefit of the doubt, when you were asking about how to take huge sums of money from the UK to India, by stuffing it in your underwear.

However, when you start throwing up wild comments like aids is a hoax, I start to doubt your bona-fides. These are the sorts of comments that trolls on Lonely Planet came up with. I didn't expect to see such things on this site.

I used to work for a Govt. agency and on a few occasions, I had to interview people with HIV/AIDS to determine eligibility for financial assistance. These people were not putting on a hoax and their immune systems weren't playing games.

In my current occupation, I am helping a North African student to learn IT skills - both of his parents died from AIDS. It was no joke to him or his parents.

If you're ridiculed, you've brought it on yourself.

Mod note For once, I agree with everybody.

Besides, the OP has another thread which seems to be going the same way.

Meanwhile, this thread is closed.
