Hi everyone,

First, I do understand that I do not need the yellow fever vaccination for traveling in India. Ok, now that the initial confusion is out of the way, I need to find out whether the yellow fever vaccination is readily available (by readily available, I am implying that it is available in at least every major urban center) in India? At the end of my stay, I'll be moving on to Mali, which requires everyone entering the country to be vaccinated against yellow fever. I assume it would be available, but I thought I'd get some feedback from others before leaving.....in case it might just be better to get it before leaving the United States. Thanks so much,

-Dave

I believe yellow fever vaccinations can only be given at specially approved and registered vaccination centres, so it is not going to be as widely available as most vaccines.

There is a list of some yellow fever vaccination centres in India near the bottom of the following page :

http://www.indiaatbest.com/india_welcome.htm

It doesn't give much detail on each centre, but hopefully it will give you a starting point for some googling

In the US your county health authority can advise. That is how I got mine (as a military brat I had to have everything)..
