Where can I get immunized in Bangalore?

Hi, I'm being sent for work to Bangalore for 3 months and don't have time to get Hep B and Jap E shots before I go. Can anyone recommend somewhere(clinic/hospital) I can get these in Bangalore, cost is not an issue as work will be paying for it, thanks

If your co is going to pay for it, surely they must have a visiting physician or must have a tie up with a hospital or clinic.

My suggestion is to seek a reference for a good doctor from people at your work place.

There are plenty of clinics in Bangalore, they just might not have the vaccine on hand at the smaller places. Apollo Clinic is good and they have a good pharmacy - I know they carry the rabies vaccine, for example. There is one just down the street from Bangalore Central.

A lot of expats use the Manipal Hospital on Airport Road. It's about 10 minutes from the Airport, just across from Leela Palace. All the auto drivers know it.

Any of these places should be able to help

1. Manipal - Airport road
2. Mallya - Near St. Joseph Indian High School
3. St. John's - Koramangala
4. Sagar - Near JP Nagar

or many private docs in town will be able to help.

Do you need Hep B & Jap E for 3 months in India? I've never had these vaccines and wasn't planning to get them.

Thank you all for the helpful replies. I probably am now just going to get Hep B there, may not be totally necessary but just to be of the safe side.

Hep B vaccine is not a single shot immunisation. The complete immunisation consists of 3 doses spread over 3 months....followed by booster doses. Mainly two tpyes of protocol are followed.
