What anti malaria for Assam and Andaman Inslands?

Hello everybody,

I am leaving for Assam in 3 days and I would like to know which is the best tablet to take against Malaria. I will stay in Assam for 2 weeks and then 2 weeks in the Andaman Islands. Can you help me in the choice of the profilaxis needed? My doctor suggest Larian, what do you think? isnt' it too late to start taking it?

thanks a lot!!

Larium is not my first or anything close to second choice. Please look at the extensive threads on this topic below and otherwise on the site as it isn't an easy choice..
