weather ?

I'm packing for my family trip to India & Nepal next July. And now I wonder a "silly" question, I know it is hot when sun shines, but how is ther weather like?, I mean does it rain?, is it cold at nights?, and in Kathmandu?
Thank You

Nepal I don't know about. For general weather conditions in India (and always remember these are just averages), try this whole thread: India climate chart . Some of the sites listed there will also give you Nepal statistics, or for most anywhere else in the world for that matter.

Other than that, it will help people to know where in India you intend to go if they are to comment. It's a vast country as you will know, so conditions will vary.

It depends on where you are. In the terai, and in pokhara, you should expect a fair amount of rain. In katmandu it will rain but not quite as much.

Temperatures are a little warm, but quite nice that time of year. A better time to go would be in sept/oct, or in spring.

Well, that's the middle of the monsoon season, so you can expect upwards of 35cm rainfall in July. (in katmandu)

Rajasthan will have much less rainfall, but temps may break 40C.
