i Hola Tongoka !
That's a very moving contribution. Thanks a lot for sharing. It's comforting to know your mom had a good time there - and apparently you did, too, given the circumstances.

May I ask which part of India you went to ?
Thanks again,

One important thing about your father: a travelling diabetic who is getting more exercise than his normal amount must check his blood sugar levels more often, as exercise is one of those things that can lower one's blood sugar. And be sure he carries glucose tablets or hard candy, in case his sugar becomes too low (below 70).

Cool

Re spectacles. We had ours made in Udaipur - a very good and reliable place called Bharat Optical,106 Bapu Bazaar. They were good with a strong structure. They have a variety of frames. Simply take your prescription with you or they will do an eye test. Simple prescriptions take one day, more complex ones maybe two to three.

good luck

This is very useful info, Kapumana ! Thanks for finding the exact address for me, saves precious time. Exactly what I need - also, I was looking for a reason to stay a couple of extra days in Udaipur, so I think we'll have glasses made for all the family !
Merci encore.

Himalaya is the name I was looking for. Thanks a lot Raj !
And thank you for your kind words. But I am mostly being an egoist here : whatever trouble I take beforehand is trouble I won't have to cope with while I'm there. So I can be free to enjoy fresh trouble instead...
Can you tell me a little about your trip with your mom ? Particular issues I should perhaps think about ?
Take care,

Dear Rajkumar,

Many heartfelt thanks for taking the time to write in such detail. I will post a lengthy answer tomorrow - as I am currently fighting with travel arrangements until late tonight - but I am posting this message to say that I have taken down your phone number and would like to suggest that you erase it from your post, using the "Edit" button, before someone uses it in a wrong way.

(Sorry, since you are a new member I couldn't send you a Personal Message and had to post that on the forum).

Again thank you for your generosity, and talk to you soon.

hi i think we belong to the same planet,i appriciate the things u feel and watch.the way u write everything so decently
i see urself as perfectionist may i know ur sunsign?
i think beauty is not in what u see but what u think and what u present to this world ,ur thoughts seem like a pure and honest
person.down to earth.
if GOD is there he is surely going to help u in ur mission of
humanity
warm regards
raj
