I would say that being here without health insurance was fairly low-risk: being in USA without it, one the other hand:

But now I'm confused: do you want to buy Indian cover as an Indian resident for your trip to Europe? or you want to be covered by a USA or European company?

i think you can buy insurance off World Nomads whereever in the world you are

....As Cyberhippie says.

I shouldn't start posts and then forget them!

Thanks!!

Thank you CH!!

Just signed up..

Actually when I looked up the worldnomads link from YG's post, I understood it to be specific about having the trip to be a "round-trip"... under "policy wording" - hence the question.

Thanks again!

i still look fwd to responsed regarding the off-topic health insurance.

Regards...

I checked out the link that ID had on his post...it pertained to NON-American citizens !!

yah..that's what i was thinking Nick...that there ought be some insurance in India for Indian residents of different nationalities..

for future - it'll be good to know.. am going to apply for the OIC soon after I return home. When I (hope to!!) come to India next year - I'll be armed with a good Indian policy.. i'm guessing with an OIC - i'll be considered an Indian Citizen.

Yes, you can get Indian medical insurance if you have a residents permit. It's one of the things I haven't got around to...

But it can be done, our bank was all ready to sell it to me.

Smile Insurance

I've been searching and searching on this one as I don't live in the UK and therefore don't get the fantastic cheap options offered.

The best/cheapest option I've found is Globelink. They gave me a quote for £165, for two adults, fully insured with baggage for multi trip including 90 days for one trip.

Has anyone found anything better than this, for EU residents (I'm resident in Spain).

The policies are good for health insurance only, though don't include any baggage, and surely thats a big consideration to cover to likes of your camera, etc.

Plus the price of £165 is for two people, and is for a full year ith up to 90 days in one destination at a time, plus baggage!

Still doesn't beat it I don't think!
