Travel Insurance

Hello again

now that i've decided to buy travelers insurance in doing a search i haven't come across T.I.C.
travelers insurance coordinators. their plan seems to be the same as most other plans.(travel cuts etc.) the plan is $1.30 /day. I am based in vancouver Canada. Has anyone heard of T.I.C. good or bad ??............ S.B. HAPPY TRAILS

no experience with travellers' insurance at all -- is this a supplemental health insurance? Our regular BC medical does cover you somewhat while away but with very low limits for things like hospitalization ($75/day, last I heard). Actually with medical costs so reasonable in India, I've never thought insurance terribly important, although a plan that covered a medi-vac, say from a Nepalese mountainside if one was injured while trekking, or an escorted trip back to Canada in case of a medical emergency might be desirable. I know that if I was travelling much in countries where a week or two in the hospital would bankrupt me (like the US), I'd look into it more carefully.

Can anyone else comment on insurance? anyone carry it? ever needed it?

Few companies are prepared to insure more than 45 days (at least here in Sweden.)
