Travel clinic in San Fran area

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good travel clinic in the San Francisco bay area (preferably south bay or peninsula areas) for India advice and jabs?
Thanks,
Spanky

For the last couple of years, I have been getting my travel vaccintions at the SF Dept of Public Health, on Grove Street (behind City Hall) in San Francisco.

They do everything except malaria meds there -- I get those (Doxycycline) in Delhi when I arrive.

There's also a travel clinic on Drumm Street, but I don't recall the name; it's just off Market Street.

And according to Google, this place will also fill your needs: http://www.downtownmedical.com/

Thumbs up The Best Jab in the Bay Area

Even though you're in San Jose, I'd still like to recommend the San Francisco Dept of Public Health's Adult Immunization Clinic & Travel Clinic. (415 554-2625)

They are the best place for all your travel needs, are low cost, and will even give you hot tips on where to get your prescription of Malarone filled for the least amount of money. (Cost-Co!)

I have been so happy with the service they provide: knowledgeable, nice people, easy access to get in.

So come on up to the city and make a fun outing for yourself.

And I was about to post about the clinic on Drumm. It has some generic-sounding name like "Overseas Travel Clinic"

Thanks all. Will keep that in mind. I managed to find the San Jose version of this (Santa Clara County Public Health Dept's Travel Clinic) and it happens to be within walking distance of my home. So may just go there.

However, I could combine a visit to the SF clinic with a visit to the Indian consulate in SF to get my visa. Anyone know if you can just show up to the consulate and apply for a visa (with passport, photos, etc)?

There's also Camino Medical Group in Mtn View:

They even do prescriptions for malaria meds.

yes, you can drop it off in the morning and get it back in the afternoon, or at least that's been the case for many years. Call them for more details.

You can show up at the Indian Comsulate around 9am and drop off your passport; pick it up after lunch. Here's the SF Indian Consulate website: http://www.cgisf.org/

Go to the website wwusa tells you about, and check out The Rules before you start!

I'm pretty sure only cash is accepted.

I love the place. I always feel like the trip has really started once I go there.
