This may be of interest to some.

I went down with Delhi belly something I have never had in my life, I had run out of toilet paper so I had to go to the shop for some more, I was in quite a lot of pain and decided a honey bee wouldn’t do any more harm, the chemist was closed so a friend ran home and got me some tablets and the pain soon subsided so I took 2 more before going to bed.

4am I awoke with a pain so painful I thought I would pass out took 2 more tablets, nothing. What had I done different? Trying to think through the pain the penny dropped, honey bee, I had had a few honey bees, as it was I had half a bottle in my room so I took a swig, neat and right from the bottle, within in 10 minutes the pain was gone and I went back to sleep.

Over the next 2 days I had honey bee a small one highly diluted in water about every 2 hours or so or as required, no pain, all the other symptoms but I was able to cope with them.

Lez

The more I find out, the more ignorant I become...what's a honey bee? I tried a forum and google search but it left me more clueless than before...

Not sure what a honey bee is other then the ones that buzz about our wildflowers in the summer time - but glad you are feeling better!

Don't forget Pudina Hara as a natural & quick gastro-intestinal pain reliever as well.

Hi,

I think Lez is referring to Honey Bee Brandy.... an excellent cure all, quite nice with coke.

More likely sterilising qualities. Nothing inside Lez is alive anymore

Honey bee is a brandy found I think mostly in the state of Goa.
Its one of them drinks that you either love or hate.
Its really sweet(hence the honey name )and it tasts nothing like Brandy - cant stand the stuf but nearly everyone I know loves it

Very good Lez! I like it with Sprite/7 Up, but try to stay off it as it gets me very drunk and gives me a terrible hangover! I'm glad you had a few drinks for me over Christmas/New Year cos I was working hard trying to pay for my last 2 and next holiday!!x

Heh! That's why Nyquil is such an effective "cold medicine", too! The first time I used it when I couldn't sleep because of congestion, it knocked me out and I slept like a log. When I woke up the next morning I thought, "Dang, that stuff is good!" When I looked at the label I saw why: the stuff is about 25 proof! Not exactly moonshine, but when you combine it with the other stuff that's in it ... And don't forget, liquor was always the anesthetic/analgesic of choice in the old Western (as in "cowboy") movies -- not that most of you are old enough to remember when they were still making those!

And your use of the term "oater" lends credence to your statement.
