The most important question EVER !!!!!!.....for my bum, that is

Ok, I am going to India in less than 2 weeks, no heavy panic attacks yet and still breathing reasonably well. Then it hit me : what about my bum ? I know that bums are treated harshly in India and no hand is going near my bum ! So, the question is ....will I be able to find toilet paper in India to buy or should I pack as much as I can and then rely on napkins and such..? My bum is going to dislike this trip but my heart and mind won out in a great internal debate. is how my bum felt. I am trying to go to India to learn more about myself and figure out who the heck I am, how I can help others and how to quench my lost soul's need to break away and start anew. But, I must admit that at first i will be staying in some very nice hotels (with the help of a fantastic lady who organized an amazing itinerary for me) before my time to begin takes place.

My guess is I should forget clothes and just bring bucket loads of doubly ply toilet paper to try and make up for the new challenges awaiting my digestive system. Any ideas ? Dank ya and have a nice day...and always be nice to your bum, it has much power over you

yes, you will be able to find toilet paper.... your bum will be fine.... but probably more active than usual.

TeePee for my Bunghole

TP is readily available, albeit somewhat expensive.

I would also suggest getting some travel toilet paper. These are small packages that are designed for travel without the core. Pick up a few and stick them in a pack for an emergency. Trust me on this, since you never know when and where an emergency will happen and it will.

In the US you can find these at walmart, eckerd drugs, kmart, cvs, and most supermarkets. Usually tucked away somewhere near the travel stuff (near the little tiny bottles of shampoo).

I would also suggest some of those little handy wipes (wetnaps) that come in those tear open packages, you know the ones you get when you order Lobster at a restaurant.. Invaluable for washing up.

i agree with mike - those little baby-wipes are invaluable. and, of course, since they are baby-wipes, they are designed to keep the smallest and most delicate among us comfy and clean. i bought a stack of those little re-sealable packs and became addicted to them. obviously, they're also great on your hands, when you've been in some places that aren't the most spotless, and you're getting ready to eat lunch or something.

have a great trip!

Thumbs up bog roll and hygiene

You won't have a problem getting bog roll but do take your own.

Perhaps even more important than lavatory paper is a little container of anti-bacterial hand gel. My wife and I took a bottle last time we were in India and I am convinced it saved us from illness (the first time I was there I got Giardia!).

Use it every time you eat a snack, an apple, before meals and yes, after you have used your toilet paper!

The brand we took was called Carex (UK) and it is the one single best item we took last time.
