taking money out

I will be leaving India in the middle of a trip for five days in Nepal and returning for another week. Do I have to divest myself of all Indian money on leaving for Nepal?

no, but avoid taking out more than 2/3000 rupees, though the legal limit is higher (not sure, but somebody told me 10000)
