Hi All,

Quick question - what's the deal with sending presents home that smell distinctly like hash? - Warning of any potential pitfalls would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, and what about moving stuff like chillums (used) around on trains etc?

It depends just how 'distinctly like'. I think you'll find that the dogs and the sniffing machines are pretty well-trained!

I would have thought that, assuming that it isn't hash but close--- your likely to be causing the recipient a great deal of hassle until the authorities decide that whatever it is is ok. If it is ok.

Otherwise...

Sure, the discussions on IndiaMike about certain locations regularly touch on this subject, with some advice on how to be cool, and always with the Big Reminder that it is illegal in India and that a very nasty prison sentence can result.

But we are not here to advise anyone on how to break the law and sorry, but a thread specifically requesting that is not going to be allowed.

We're not puritanical about this: just we want this to be a travel-information site, not a drug-information site. I'm sure you can get that elsewhere!
