Sorry, my confusion is that electrical tape is only 2cm wide and plastic-like, while duct/gaffer tape is 5cm (2") which would obviously be better for fixing mossie nets and tents.

I also carry balloons but not as gifts. At night in small towns when the dogs take over on night patrol barking all night long I fill them balloons up with water and have my own war with the them.

If you have ever seen a guy standing on a balcony in his underwear throwing water balloons at barking dogs it was probably me. It's a less cruel approach of getting rid of the barking dogs and I never hit them but just throw them close enough to scare them off (the buckets in the bathroom are great for holding the ammo).

Other than that, a full on coffee kit with instant coffee, creamer, sugar substitute (tough to find in India) a mug, and an immersion element.

I live off of coffee at home and abroad.

>>sugar substitute (tough to find in India)<<

I took a small bottle of saccharin tablets -- I think 1000 to the bottle. I like my chai quite sweet and there was no way I was going to carry enough "white powder" for 12 weeks of chai!

I didn't realize it, but saccharin dissolves just as well in cold water (nimbu pani) as it does in hot tea or coffee!
