Safety in Leh

Hi,

I'm planning to travel to North-India this spring and want to visit Ladakh. Is is safe to go there considerring the political situation in Kashmir?

Ladakh and Kashmir are different places/provinces, Kashmir is moslem dominated and Ladakh is mostly tibetan, although the military presence in Ladakh is immense (but the reason for that is the near chinese border).

So far it's safe to go there, as in other indian places.
