Rabipur is available from practically any chemist with a fridge in India. It costs around 300 rupees a dose. Show up at a hospital or doctor and they will inject it for you for a few rupees (or you can do it yourself if youre that skint). If youre going to spend any time around dogs (like on the beach....) then its worth it in my opinion. India does have a very bad rabies problem (30,000 deaths a year, by far the highest in the world per person), a situation made worse since the near extinction of vultures.
