Hi everyone, first I would like thank everybody that is posting at IM, I found this forum a month ago doing some research,(will be going to India+Nepal for 6 months in septempber)I have to admit it have been one of my premium source of information about India on a lot of different topics.
Now here is im wondering about water filter, I have search previous thread and I dont think it has been brought up yet, will I be able to use a water filter for everyday life in India? I dont think I will spend that much time in big cities, and I will go on a trek to mount Everest first base camp. Im under the impression that I will not have access to "tap" water that much often, im I wrong? Is there other way for me to get access to water without buying plastic bottle? Not sure if my question is clear, english is not my first language so bear with me please ![]() |

Namaste,
use the search icon at the top of the page there is plenty of info, here is what I wrote earier today about getting clean water. if you are going to be at high altitudes a metal system ,might be better for you, due sub-freezing weather conditions. Get the best your health can afford. Being sick from water born disease can ruin a trek or hoilday. read other threads and talk to shops that sell climbing gear, especially for the altitude that you are going to be spending time at most of the time. be safe, have a happy trip and give the readers knowledge that you learn, along the way peace, gregor Quote:

I had read your post earlier, maybe my question was not really clear, my concern is having access to water, not how/why filter it, so i guess im trying to find out if i can have easily access to water (that is not bottled) pretty much anywhere?
