Unfortunately that is not very likely, as this is not a dental or medical forum, and we very strictly do not allow people to advertise their services or profession.

When this thread was started, we had less strict rules. The information was, and is, very useful to people, but, undoubtedly Goandentist also got a lot of free advertising.

I'm not doubting his, or anybody else's intentions: a lot of advice was given, and given to people travelling nowhere near his clinic, but our tightened rules cannot allow this now.

None of this stops established members telling how much their treatment cost, or even recommending their dentist!

Please be aware that root canal treatment is something that can easily be skimped, and the cot made less. After drilling out the inside of the root, the dentist should treat it, and apply a temporary filling. He should repeat this treatment often enough to be sure that there is no infection left.

I do not remember how much I paid for the root canal therapy I had done here, but I do know that I had a mixture of 22 crowns/bridge done for Rs70,000 back in 2005 --- about 3,000 each.

1. would it be wise to do this during a 3 week trip to india?

I would not go to dentists again in goa unless an emergency. I researched a lot and went here after reading this forum but was dissapointed. They put a strong emphasis on how much money you can save due to cheaper work and a holiday thrown in (& having the latest technology), but work is nowhere near uk standards and you'll probably need it re-done costing twice as much in the end. Unnatural crowns the wrong colour, way to big and left half the amalgam in when supposedly replacing silver fillings. Save money and get it done once properly somewhere else.

Hello could you please recommend a good dentist who could do implants in goa. I'm staying in Candolim for 2 weeks from 1st April. I need implans to replace a broken bridge (3 teeth) next to my 2 front teeth on a cantilever bridge which has also broken this week. The cost of implants in England is prohibitive! What would the cost of implant work to support 5 teeth be approxiamtely in GBP please?

I wanted to take off my inner wisdom tooth. Dr. recomended saving it via root canal quoted 3,500. (I have done another for 1,900 18 months ago, and then they recommend dental cap which cost around Rs.5000 min, I did that and the total cost came to 7000+). that's why I wanted to take this one off, no filling no caping.
