Prescription drugs

I live in the US and I want to bring back some prescription drugs such as adderall for my ADD and vicodin for my back pain. I checked google and found outdated information. Is it allowed to bring back these prescription drugs? Do i need a US or Indian doctors prescription? Need to know this information as do not want to break any US laws. Thanks

Haha, yeah right. Interesting that the specific drugs this guy needs are commonly abused in the West...

Let me guess, you were maybe also going to stock up on some OxyContin, too, and while we're at it, do Indian cold medicines still contain pseudoephedrine? And are there any restrictions on exporting that out of the country?

Adderall is all the rage amongst college kids, both for partying and cramming for exams. You can smash it up into powder and snort it, not unlike cocaine.

And Vicodin is a highly addictive painkiller. No idea what effect it produces recreationally, but people seem to like it I guess.

Depending on the answer to MastaKrook's question, there could potentially be a lot of money to be made importing this stuff back to the US (and maybe Europe?) and selling it on the street.

Whoa!

Despite the user ID, we do not know this guy yet, so perhaps we ought to be a little more circumspect in our assumptions!

Provided they are backed up by a prescription and not prohibited from import (and in credible quantities) you should be OK.

Guy I met in Goa was taking enough Viagra to Sweden to wipe out impotence for the whole country and he seems to have made it through customs (though I suspect legislators will soon plug that hole [no pun])

The problem is making it stand up in court.

Especially if they've confiscated the viagra.

I'll get my coat....

Is mastakrook going to be surprised at what we have done with his thread, when he returns, or what?

Viagravation, for sure.

... As Dilli once so astutely noted in relation to another question: It is a botheration *

* Checking now: That's actually a word. Hm, nothing said, I never knew.

actually bringing in prescription drugs to the US is a big no-no. look on the customs/border control website - the yanks don't want you bringing in cheap generic medicine - the government price fix drugs with the pharamaceutical companies, so you have to pay top-yankee-dollar for the trademark brands.

even if you return to the US with medicines originally prescribed there, border control can take them off you - i think they call it 'protectionism'.

MASTAKROOK == MASTER CROOK? As long as the quantities seem like its for personal use and you have US presciption, I don't think it will be a problem bringing it back tot he US.
