Hi, Notfito - I deleted my two 'Mod' posts because I have seen you have adjusted your post very nicely, and mine are now no longer necessary. Thank you for doing this, and looks like already some good advice is coming for you.
When I had my daughter, a long way back, one of the things I had to be careful about was heat - try not to avoid really hot times of the day outside, keep yourself comfortable, rest,or even lolling about in a swimming pool is good, and drink lots of water when it gets very hot.
Take care and enjoy your holiday!

And it's better to avoid too much spicy food. Always take good cooked food from, again, good source. Be cautious not to have jaundice - that will affect the baby.
These are not to scare you, but some of the advice i remember our doc had given to my wife.

<<< yellow aint your colour anyways nick
i digress as usual >>>

congratulations notfito

do's:
fresh fruits in plenty - easily readily available
curd - yup - keeps the tum tum cool
boiled greens specially ladysfingers - great roughage
dry fruits - almonds, raisins are also available here - good for you and the lil one
plenty of fluids... juices / water / tender coconut water
evening walks on the beach

dont's:
keep out of the sun
try not to take any medication
keep that mosquito net firmly tucked under that mattress
avoid traveling - bumpy / pot-holed roads can cause discomfort

in any case... the weather cools down some in october - so hopefully the heat wont get to you.

all the very best

Congratulations Notfito.

Brishti gave very sound advice and I will only add that try not to take any medication(s) not prescribed or recommended by your doctor except may be tylenol in avg doses. Have fun.

? Speaking to your doctor and/or local travel health clinic also springs to mind. There are guaranteed to be books and websites on the subject, your national health organization may have one. And so on.

The Travel Health link in my signature is just one start, it leads on to this site which you may find helpful: http://www.pregnanttraveler.com/articles/01.html. But in fact I'd personally prefer 1:1 information with a trusted professional on this kind of thing. A word of comfort and as you can see, you certainly won't be the first nor the last woman to do this

Notfito - Congratulations on your pregnancy!

As well as all the wonderful advice given to you already here, I would suggest that you take good care of yourself on the flights over and back as well.

Drink plenty of water and make sure you move around the cabin. I forget what the recommendation is - ten minutes in every two hours?

One final word on when you're in India - make use of the fact that a massage there is much less expensive than it is at home, just be sure to inform the masseuse that you are pregnant.

Oh oh! And one other thing - stock up on lots of lovely floaty tops and tunics.
