Two pretty strange theories! One about the wind, the other about the ear protection that 'everyone' wears.

Interpersonal advice is beyond my level of capability. However, I will note that I have known such persistant conditions to lead to death. There is a painful memory within my extended family. I also knew a couple of grantees in Chenaii that had the great idea of treating a serious illness with homeopathy. It worked for one..

If Suzie is telling it like it is then yes, I'd suggest that she should dump the baggage and find herself a real man. On the other hand, if she's blown something trivial out of all proportion and dragged the poor boy's name through the mud on a major internet forum then he should dump her for someone less freaky and controlling. Let's face it Suzie, whichever it is you're finished.

(Is that enough smileys?)

As i said before, he went to see a doctor 2 days ago. Just that he didn't get any better. I just need some suggestions about what he can do since he is staying in a rural area. If you have got nothing better to do just bang your head at the wall instead of being nasty! Thank you very much.

The only advice that comes to mind is find a new boyfriend. Some guy travels to a faraway place, gets sick, and is seemingly incapable of making the rational decisions that would lead to better health and less agony for his loved ones.

Suzy, I hope you manage to bail this guy out of trouble but when it's over think hard about leaving the baggage behind.
Please tell you wife about that, ask her to run for her life whenever you are in trouble!

It is probably no help to the patient here, but other readers might benefit, knowing what a great medicine Mullein oil is. Before you drip some into your ear, warm the oil a little...

I agree, though, he needs to see a doctor...
Thanks for the suggestions. He told me yesterday that some yellowish water flowing out from the ear. I think he have ear infection as well. Will ask him to try Mullein oil.

Dear people, not sure what’s going on with some of the member here. Well if you guys are trying to be funny, nope I don’t think this is funny, I think this is rude. I’m just trying to seek some advise here.. not to fight and be nasty to anybody even though you have make me one of them now. As I mentioned before he went to see the only doctor around that area two days ago with the help from 2 kind workers there.
Still not getting better yesterday so again I seek advise here for the nearest hospital that he should visit. Well after that post.. gosh there are more accused about him & me. Guess I have to stress this again… It’s not that he doesn’t want to go see a doctor. There is some medication that he cannot take so he have seek advise from doctor back home. BTW time different between Norway & India is bout 5 hours.

Bloodly post no. #86 – He has gone for a month and sick for 9 days I only call 4 times. What kind of accused is that??? I’m just trying to gather more relevant advice before calling him.

Post no. #92 – Being a caring person of course I will be worry if there is something happened with someone I love. It worries me so much when he told me that he’s feeling really bad (he never said that to me before). And I’m feeling really bad when I’m not there to take care of him. Just wish I can do something for him here especially advise from this forum. Find a new boyfriend just to get out of trouble, my god are you really a human? As I suggested, did you tell you wife to do so???? I’m sure she must be very happy to hear that!!!

Bloodly post no. #94 – Feel sorry for you, you have such big mouth.. Have you ever been loved before??? I doubt it, that’s why you have such nasty mouth. That’s ok then I forgive you.

Edwardesco - I must agree with you - if a condition persists then one urgently should try to remedy it with best means available and in this case I should think the local hospital doctor.

100 posts (now 102) that illustrate an important travel lesson.

And whether it's all legitmate or a shameless hook, line & sinker .... is irrelevent really - the lesson being that one should take their health extremely seriously in India and have an emergency plan a,b,c if you do become ill, and if all else fails know that most all Indians are extremely Doctor savvy(crazy?) - in so that if you can crawl/hop/skiddle to a window, door, telephone, rooftop and mouth the word "doctor", "sick" etc. - qualified help will surely come soon in some form.

There are so many diseases, viruses, & infections in India that can cause seriousness illness or death quickly - that a prolonged, remote 3rd party investigation cum debate on a travel board is wasted time/energy & jeopardizes the safety & health of whom it all may concern.

Don't be scared(or sick) .... be prepared!
