Please don't laugh, but I'd like to know

if there is good shampoo and shower gel available in India. I thought I do not have to carry that stuff all the way from Europe....

You can get most of the western defoliants or you can source some very good ayurvedic Shampoo's check out this thread for some ideas/ lines:

The Himalayan range of products do some excellent shampoo's and is available in most medical store's . Do not worry It is India ,most things are possible and all is available !!!!

Last time I was in Kerala tried to get shower gel from smallish shop. Although the lad spoke good english had never heard of shower gel and seemed quite amused when I described what it is. So I suppose if you want a particular brand or going off main resorts best to bring your own.

Comsumer goods and lifestyle brands are increasingly common in India. That doesn't mean you'll find exactly what you're looking for, but in a city you will have more choices than ever before.

All the major European brands are available in India and a much reduced price.

The Himalaya brand is made in Bangalore, and really is superb!

You'll probably love it so much that you will buy loads to take home...
