obtaining travel insurance with COPD?

Hi: I'm going back to India for the first time in four years and I'm having a heck of a time obtaining reasonably priced insurance.I have emphysema(news flash:apparently chain smoking for forty years is detrimental to your health-geez who would have guessed?) In any case the deal killer seems to be when they ask if I've had to take prednisone in the last year. Now I know Insurance companies aren't charitable orgs so I'm willing to take my chances dealing financially with my pre-existing conditions but I would really like some coverage if I get run over by a rickshaw and break my leg. I'm 61 which adds to the cost i suppose.The company I've used previously quoted me $800.00 for a seven week trip which is a lot more than I'm willing to pay. I was just wondering if any other Indian Mikers with some health issues have found a way to get some sort of basic coverage without breaking the bank.Thanks

While getting insured, one should always declare medical history honestly.
It increases the cost of premium but saves from a lot of queries, in case it is required...
They are shrewd enough to know the health background of an insured person, as you "know Insurance companies aren't charitable orgs"!
