Neti Pot

Looks like the neti pot really does help for sinus type problems. It's always nice to see a home remedy hold up to scientific study.

Interesting, I'd read a few other threads on here about neti pots and got the idea that they were very effective, but have never yet plucked up the sufficient courage to buy one and give it a try.

Good to know the message is still that they're effective.

I love my neti-pot. But proper use is a must, find a Kriya-Yogi and ask him/her to teach you the practice.
Only disadvantage of Neti: after rinsing your nose you smell all the nasty smells more intense just as well.
And: buy a Netipot while in India! Get the good porcelain-stuff, forget plastic! Mine broke, and I had to spend 16 Euro for one here...

Cool! I'm a die-hard Jal Neti fan & travel w/ my neti pot, so it is great to read this.

I have TWO lovely porcelain neti pots but whenever I have congestion I forget to use them

. The nasal irrigation does take longer than a pill or spray to be effective, for me, and I'm impatient. I promise I will make more of an effort & be more patient. I do know how to use it correctly

I'm currently in Europe & really wish I had it with me now!

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health research paper on Neti

Both says it's good for sinusitis and allergic rhinitis....
