Does anyone have experience with 'permethrin' coated clothing?
Companies selling it claim it repels mosquitoes. It's also possible to buy the substance and spray it on untreated clothing. |

Some people are more appealing to moquitoes than others. I, apparently, am irrestibly delicious.
Even with 100% DEET slathered on and a dilligent attitutde, I've taken more than 70 bites on the ankles alone at one patio dinner, resulting in days of fever and fears of malaria. As the bloody ankle biters swarm at dusk, my approach accordingly has become simply to stay indoors for 90 minutes after sunset when in a hot spot for mosquitoes, and to sleep either in a known to be mosquito free room or else under a mosquito net. |
