Question Mosquitos / Nets etc.?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I'm just wondering how bad the mosquitos are likely to be during the monsoon (July) in Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi areas?? I travelled to Sri Lanka during the monsoon last year and spotted 2 mosquitos in as many weeks. Will I be as lucky in India? Would people recommend taking a net, and if so, do you find it easy enough to attach to something or do you need to take your own hook or something to use?? Many thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers!

When I was in Delhi, Jaipur and Madras, I didn't see any. But when I went in Goa and Kerala during the monsoon, I was outnumbered! A net is not expensive and you will easily attach it.
PS I travelled very low budget, and a few hotels had it for free in their room.

I tend to always have one ...life-systems i think
They're not expensive, small and very light
I always reckon better to have one ...becasue when you dont need it ...its no worry but for that one night when you may need it its a god send
The ones available in India tend to be pretty large
Hope that helps

Most large hotels are equipped to tackle mosquitoes, so outdoors would be your challenge - and yes, you'll find lots of mosquitoes, especially if it is raining....You could do well with some mosquito repellant creams - Odomos is a brand that comes to mind immediately and this will be available in most departmental stores & pharmacy...
I also suggest that you get used to their song...:-)
