Mosquito nets

Will be leaving for dehli in a few weeks (oct 17th) planning on heading north to Himichal Pradesh (dharamsala, shimla, dalhosie) for a while then on to varannasi/rajistan in late nov/ early dec.
I assume because of the altitude/coldness most of himacahal pradesh will be mosquito free (I could be assuming wrong) ,
but what would varanasi/rajistan be like (I tend to get bitten and my girlfriend cant take the anti-malarial pills)
If I bring a mossie net it wll be a double (me and girlfriend), I have never put up a mossie net or seen one in real life.
So would you say its worth it from your experiences ?
Are they easy to put up ? I imagine you must have to put some small hooks into the hotel owners wall

I doubt you'll need a mossie net for the any of the regions your are visiting
Just use the electronic bug deterant and you'll be fine
Mossies would only really be a problem further south

Is it better to pick up the electric bug thing in country?

I was planning on bringing a net as well - but since the early legs of my trip are north, sounds like it isn't necessary...thanks for saving me a few $$?
