Midwife in Mumbai
Dear forum members,
I am expecting. So far, so good. But there is one item left to check on my to-do list: I am looking for a midwife for the delivery which should happen around Nov 4.I am already working together with a very sweet midwife, but in order to go through with our plans for a homebirth we are in need of a second support person. That may be a midwife, doula or even a paediatrician - we are basically only looking for somebody to be present toward "the end" and to check up on the baby after delivery. We live in North Mumbai. There is a decent hospital 5min from my house whose OB has agreed to take me in in case of emergency, so these basic organisational questions are settled. We are in touch with Birth India and we also know the Birthing Center in Goa, and yet - shockingly - were still unable to find a second pair of helping hands. Maybe one of you knows somebody who knows somebody who could pitch in... Thanks. |
