You can easily get cholesterol medicine in India. Just bring your old prescription and show it to any pharmacy. They are not that strict in India about needing prescriptions. I don't know where you are landing in India or which hotel you are staying in but some of the bigger hotels have a doctor on call. You can easily meet the doctor and explain your situation and I'm sure they will write out a prescription for you. The medicine may even be cheaper in India than in Korea.

Which parts of India are you going to?

I have been the west part of India for three months. It's very easily to find clinic or medicine shop. Cholestrol medicine is also very common in India!

It's my advice you to bring some medicine for stomach with you because you may not adopt the Indian food at the first few days.

I will travel from top (?) of India "Leh" to down "Kovalam" for 6 months including Sri Lanka for 1 month. It is quite long time , that's why I need the medicine information.

I've been to India twice for 5 months before - I didn't need the medicine for cholesterol at that time - and as you mentioned we have to care of food indeed. I suffered from stomachache three or four times, especially at Srinagar...

Thanks Eunice, I don't need to worry about cholesterol !!
