Marmite Vs Mosquito

hi everyone,

i have been told by a few people that eating marmite every day for 3 weeks prior to a trip, and then everyday during will help to prevent mosquito bites? it apparently has something to do with the vitamin B contained in it, which the mosquitos don't like the smell of..... is there any truth in this??

i was also told the same about garlic, and gin & tonic (as this contains small amounts of quinine).

if anyone knows anything about this or has any other suggestions id be grateful, id eat a combo of ANYTHING daily to keep the critters way.

thanks
