malarone in Dubai?
Hi i know this sounds funny but has anyone bought malarone in dubai before traveling to india?? I know there is a lot of threads about malaria but i am looking into the diffrent tablets as we are traveling to southeast asia after India and the price of this drug is too dear in the uk. And i do know you can get other antimalarials in india cheap but my girlfriend is prone to some of the side effects of the other drugs.

I can't answer about Dubai unfortunately, but the cheapest I've found Malarone so far in the UK is £1.99 per tablet, which is a fair bit cheaper than most travel clinics do it.
http://www.stratford-pharmacy.co.uk/...il&productid=1 You will need a prescription though to buy it anywhere in the UK. I believe you normally only need to take Malarone for a couple of days before entering a risk area, and for 7 days after leaving, so you need fewer tablets than you might with other anti-malarials, which helps offset the cost a little. |
