"malaria tablets"

I have only just discovered this site and can't believe how much information is available. I hope someone can help me with my question. I have never travelled outside of Europe before so very nervous about the whole trip.
I am travelling to Delhi on 22nd March and staying in New Delhi for 3 nights before going on a 7 day organized Golden Triangle tour(Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Samode) . I am then going on to Sri Lanka for 12 nights.
I have had my vaccinations (Hep A, Dip, Tet, Polio, and Typhoid)and am now sorting out my malaria tablets. My doctor says to consult my pharmacist. My pharmacist says consult my doctor.Any suggestions on the best tablets for the region I am travellin

Is there something like a tropical health clinic in your wider area? I'd contact them about it, or tell your doctor to do his work already

If a clinic like that is too far away, maybe see how far you can get with them by phone.

You really don't need malaria meds for New Delhi or the Golden Triangle, so you should probably scrutinize whether you need them for Sri Lanka, because unless you are also traveling to some more rural area in India, you really shouldn't need them for this leg of the trip.
