Low risk to get Malaria - where to go?
Hei!
We, me, my boyfrind and our son on 2 years old are going to India in January 2008, We are now planning the trip - where to go and etc. Where in India is the safest place to stay concider Malaria and Dengue? Is it safe in Dharamsala? Or in Pondichery? Which is two of the places we concider to go to. We will stay for half a year, and go home when the monsuns starts. Thank you for tips! |

This malaria map gives you a good idea of where the low- and medium-risk areas are.

Hi all, Although the map shows little or no risk in areas around Mumbai and Pune, the last time I worked in This area (1997) I contracted malaria two times, and I was taking malaria tablets at the time. Point of note I got malaria in the two months post-monsoon.
