Oh, but I'd love to be able to read, look at beetles, see the LCD screen on the camera (I always use the viewfinder), etc, etc, etc, without having to get glasses out.

Statistically, I wonder which has the greater chance of causing injury- the flight to India or the surgery when you get there?

From memory I think we paid about Rs40,000 for both eyes as £500GBP sticks in my mind.

Sure there are risks but hell ain't that life, more likely to get injured in the taxi on the way there!!

There are two good eye hospitals in Chennai.
One is called Dr. Agarwals Eye hospital
the other Sankara Nethralaya (SN).

I am getting it done next week. So press the thumbs for me *scared*

It starts at 16.000 INR per eye.
