All the Anti-Malerials have a long list of side-effects.

You take your choice.

(I hope Air-India doesn't crash or advise its pilots to 'shutdown and power off' - I am flying with them from the UK to Calcutta in under 3 weeks time)

I've taken Larium on numerous occasions and aside from really a poor sleep pattern (or is that just the time difference?) no bad experiences to report. It also has the advantage of only remembering to take 1 tablet a week!!

The quaint old terms are hardly in use now.
Ovale and Malarie species are quite rare.

I also read that the new drugs used to eradicate the parasite after infection leave no lasting effects. they are completely removed from your system. Any thoughts on this Sanjay???

One more question about this drug. I know taking alcohol mixed with medication can often be dangerous, but would I be able to drink alcohol straight after lariam, and if not, how long would I have to wait?

I threw away my Lariam box and instructions few days ago, as I am starting to pack for my trip. I'm an idiot, I know.

I took my Larium one morning after doing a lot of drinking and I spent the day vomiting. Other that when I have had e-coli, I can't remember being that sick.
