Smile Keeping fit in India

hello, this time I am planning to keep myself fit besides all that eating and drinking . Don't know about the weather conditions in south but I guess the best time for jogging is very early in the morning?

Any experiences in Ayrveda treatments, I've heard they have "spas" in Kerala? I am looking for relaxing and stress releaving experiences.

No idea about ayurveda but jogging in the morning seems to be such a good idea. South India tends to remain warm even when the North experiences winter.

When I travel, I carry a set of exercise bands. They are lightweight and take up very little room in your luggage.

I've been to a couple of great spas in Kerala. One is Isola Di Cocco and the other one is Somatheeram. You can google both of them for the address. Great ayurvedic massages and treatments. Very relaxing, wonderful to get pampered... you can walk, jog along the beach for exercise or swim in the pool.

The runs will keep you from getting fat. If your stay is longish, ride in Indian buses, they are gyms for us.

I do "hindu sqauts" and '" hindu pushups " you can do them anywhere, don't need any equipment (not even running shoes) and it's a great work out. -

Run with Wolves

When you feel you have gained a few pounds from all that gr8 Indian food ... Sneak up on one of those wild doggies that you see wandering the streets everywhere and give a sharp and firm yank of its tail ... get ready for the run of your life and an exercise (slightly stressful) to beat all!
