Very wise, incest repellent only keeps the family away!

Great typo!

There is absolutely stacks of info in the "health and well being section" of the forum if you have the time to wade through it.

I bought citronella oil and it worked like a charm. I got it from a travelling salesman (seriously). The guy had a suitcase full of "natural flower oils". Don't know how naturaly they were, but they smelled like flowers.

Who knows? The reason why the citronella worked so well was probably because it was carcinogenic DDT or something. Explains the 3rd arm growing out my back.

Temptation is too great to resist.

Incest repellant, the scourge of banjo players the world over.
Odomos. Widely available in India. Some sort of cream you rub on and it apparently works.....on mosquitos anyway.
Mozquito coils. Burn them in your room. They're not made out of mosquitos but they are coiled.
Plug-In repellants. Plugs in and repels Mosquitos. Hope that explains it.(Check for family before bending over to plug in).
Citronella. Doesn't work for me but many claim that it does for them.
Family. Simple. Get in your own rickshaw and you're sure to end up in a completely different place to them.
Bed net. Impregnated with Permethrin. The Mozzies hate it and it'll keep unwanted family members out too.
Air-Con rooms. Makes a mess of any Mozzie.
Fan in room. Leave it on, if there is one to leave on. Blows them away. The Mosquitos.

Do Mosqu-itos have anything to do with mosques in Mexico?

Time I went for a little lie down.

Trouble is that even if you use deet, the buggers can still land on you. Then they will bite anyway

Suziq. I have the flu. My throat is sore. Please don't make typos like that until I'm better 'cos it hurts to laugh

Seems to me that the concensus is that everything will work for some people and some mosquitos some of the time. Except, of course, for those people and mosquitos that nothing works for ever...

Body hair! You heard it here first folk. Grow some body hair.
Ladies, look away now. My legs are like Scots Fir trees and the little bugger's couldn't bite if they tried. I'm thinking of growing dreadlocks on my legs as a matter of fact. Anyone know where I can get dreds made in India?

Sorry to hear you're unwell Nick. Incase you didn't already know Echinacea and loads of vitamin C work wonders and you can stop moping around like you've got the plague too! You know what Lemsip Ultra Strength Cold & Flu Remedy is, right, there you go then and no, you can get up and change channnels yourself. Malingerer!

Tee-Hee-hee!

Anyone heard of Omaria? I found this article (below)on it from 2000, should be available if all went well but I've never heard of it before. Has anyone tried it?

keep the mozzies away?

Anti histimanes-they still bite but the bites don't swell up and itch.

Another tip
Buy a kilo of marigold blossoms and pile them on the table and underneath the table when you are dining outside in the evening. Mozzies don't like the smell.

Or put a burning coil under the table in the evening to keep them away from your feet.

If you want to kill mosquitoes and have exercise and have fun

I and my brother had done these as kids. Works best when there are a LOT of mozzies flying around.

pick up a plate ( dining plate or something of that size ), smear oil ( any cooking oil will do - stickiness is a desirable quality ) in it , and have a go at them damned mozzies. swish, swipe, wave, in the general direction of the mozzies - you will be amazed to see the rate at which mozzies get stuck on the plates.

We used to do it in tandem and check our scores at the end of the game. ( All you needed was to count the number of dead ones stuck on your plate) . Sad we didnt take videos of our "step onto the cot, and jump/dive to catch the high-flying ones" manoevers.

Too bad we stopped doing it - Could have been a nice career option

I like the way you think BigZero.

Here's a thing. D'you know, mozzies see the vapour as it leaves your mouth when you exhale and zone in on it.

Anyone see that Pink Floyd documentary last night?
