Jaslok Hospital--Mumbai

My wife and I are considering having some tests done at Jaslok.
We understand it to have a great reputation and just wanted to hear any feedback from IndiaMike regulars. We'll be staying near CST in Mumbai; how long should we allow for a mid-day taxi trip to the Breach Candy area? Or are we better off catching a train from Churchgate up to Mumbai Central Station and then walking?

Would also appreciate any recommendations for eye glasses around CST. Is it possible to get an exam and glasses the same day?

Eyeglasses, Lawrence and Mayo, same day may be difficult depending on what kind of lens you need, but ask.

Jaslok

is at Peddar road, not Breach Candy. Take a cab, it is poorly connected except by bus/taxi. Should take less than half an hour.

An old hospital, dunno present reputation but at one time was considered a hotel for richer Arabs, amongst other things.

Don't let that put you off, I have often gone there (though many years ago) with no problems.

Has many good doctors, and for tests it should be fine.

For anything more than just tests, I would go with a good doctor rather than a hospital anyway.

Jaslok had good reputation & is a good choice for doing tests.

For your other querries, I have the same opinion as Captain has.

I have visited Jaslok just once with my in-laws last year. The facilities are good, you may visit the hospital
