japanese encephalitis vaccine - yes or no
We have heard mixed opinions on whether or not to get the japanese encephalitis vaccine. Although we may be in rural areas (and will mostly be in the north), we probably won't be in rice paddies. We will be there from September to December so at the end of and after monsoon season. What do you all think?

There is a JE season and it sounds like you may be close to the end. Certain areas are especially affected AP & the Nepal UP border are infamous. I haven't had the shots. They are some of the least effective and most costly available. If I was doing more village work in AP I might reconsider..
