As much as the ladies on this thread can really empathize with Katie, I'm absolutely gob-smacked, for want of a better expression, with all the advice from male IMers,

- C'mon guys.........admit it.........you all have this curiosity about how the female of the species actually does function.....

Get yourself to the doctor Katie and he'll more than likely prescribe something for you. As Somnath has so rightly pointed out, your thrush could've been caused by something else but, it's your body, so it's up to you to make the decision as to whether to listen to us here on the 'medical' forum or do the right thing and consult a doctor.

OT (Good to see you on this thread too Nick - guess you must've been a female in one of your previous lives - your gf is sure lucky to have you around

It may not for most but the theory is if we were less ignorant we would not create or get into situations where disease can manifest. Ignorance is bliss they say, well a poor excuse for mis-management on the small personal level or on the larger community and world level.
