Love Lemons
As with stories from the work place, my wife was working late shift at EMC in the hospital on the desk and had a phone call from a nervous but anxious couple. It seems that after having sex with her partner, the Asian lady used the customary method of squeezing the juice of a piece of lemon up her vagina, however she lost grip on it and it slipped up inside. My wife suggested that they came down to the Emergency Centre at the hospital and have it removed.
So from this we can gauge that a quarter or so of a lemon is useful in acting as a spermicide and also must not be to aggravating to the body tissue. |

Its a custom in Aisa too?
Makes you wonder doesnt it, lemmon is also used with honey (now known to be antibacterial) in a drink to help throat and chest infections. How did they figure that out?

Lemons are also naturally an acid fruit but on consumption the body treats it as an alkaline, figure that one out. Lemon also will strip the enamel off your teeth if you eat to many of them. Lemon juice will also remove many stains of clothing and remove odours from refrigerators. Lemon is also good to rub on your face as a cleanser and if I remember was used in washing hair. Now this is something from way back, some people used to keep a lemon, old dried and hard like a brown golf ball, in their pocket, it was said to help with arthritis.

You brought up the use of lemmons as a cure for Vaginal thrush infection, I was meerely providing an asside to the use of lemmons. I personally think that it is excellent that researchers are trying to find cheap and accessible ways to cure disease. |

Science and the scientific minds seem to always want to complicate things when GOD created simple solutions for everything that we need; ah well the scientists try to play god and rewrite the terms and conditions of life on this here planet.
The simplicity of natural yoghurt for thrush, end of story. |

![]() That said, I'd sooner go for the "It has been said... According to one recent study..." etc. than for the "It has been recently discovered that..." approach. The vinegar douche and the yoghurt at least I know have been used effectively by female friends of mine, which probably doesn't mean they do so all the time, that's why I called them household remedies. Antibiotics are known to mess with your natural defense system though so the effect described by OP doesn't surprise me, it screws up the natural bacterial environment so to speak, these are common side-effects. No fights picked whatsoever, I just thought it was a funny sidestep. Insert plenty a smily here. ![]() |

Well having had a tick take a fancy to my neanderthals a mix of vinegar and lavender was used to get the not so little blighter to jump ship, not the best idea that I have had, worked okay once the delicacies of tap dancing subsided, the tick was dead but the itch continued for a week as it usually does.
Personally I would not recommend vinegar, it has the same Ph as battery acid, not good but as for lemon read this. |

Hi Katie,
What makes you feel that this is a side effect of the antibiotic? Are you sure this is due the antibiotic? avil which is anti allergic – are you sure Katie’s problem is due to any allergen? Canesten clotrimazole cream – are you sure Katie is suffering from infection caused by fungi? Soframycin – is one of the best Topical anti bacterial but is it exactly required here? Yoghurt, lemon etc are you serious? Or just………… I don’t think this is something like “I like to have a good masala dosa, any recommendation?”. Come on Katie, consult a doctor!!!! You cant apply any(good)thing before you know why it has happened. |
