Is there Doxcycline available in India?

I am planning on buying Doxcycline (an anti-malarial drug) when I get to India (the CDC says that Chloroquine by it self is not adequate for India since there are resistant strains of Malaria there). Does anyone know if there is Doxycycline available at the pharmacies? thanks,
Lauren

Ofcourse they are available! Indians also get Malaria!
There are lot of threads talking about Doxycycline. Just use the search option and search for 'Malaria' or Doxycycline'. One such thread is here

Doxycycline is easily available..I remember being prescribed this in India. I wouldn't take advice from the pharmacist, make sure you see a doctor who gives you a prescription for the drug if you need it.

Cheap and easily available without prescription leastwise from my store. Get your doctor's visits in India if you aren't on a state health plan..

If you take chloroquine you must take proganuil with it.I didn't get on with doxy as one of the side efeects is skin sensitivity to the sun.
